Services FAQs
Common questions about the full service catalog.
How many locksmith services do you offer?
Treasure Coast Locksmith operates 300+ dedicated service pages across six main clusters: residential (49 services), commercial (40), automotive (55), door repair and commercial hardware (46), safes and vaults (18), and 24/7 emergency (12). Every service has its own detail page.
What is the difference between residential and commercial locksmith work?
Residential work is homes, condos, townhomes. It covers rekeying, smart locks, deadbolts, home lockouts, and coastal-rated hardware. Commercial work covers offices, retail, medical, restaurants, schools, and warehouses with code-compliant hardware, access control, master key systems, and fire door compliance.
Do you handle both car keys and smart fobs?
Yes. Our automotive cluster covers transponder keys, remote head keys, push-to-start smart keys, and proximity fobs for every major manufacturer. We carry the programming equipment (Autel IM608 Pro, Xhorse VVDI, Smart Pro) and the blank stock for all common profiles.
What is commercial door repair?
Commercial door repair covers hardware and structural work on non-residential doors: panic bars, door closers, electric strikes, magnetic locks, fire doors, ADA hardware, hollow metal frames, aluminum storefronts, and exit devices. It is a separate discipline from locksmith rekeying.
What services do you offer for safes?
Safe opening (manipulation and override), home safe installation, gun safe installation, fireproof safe installation, commercial depository safes, combination change, electronic lock replacement, safe moving, and safe repair. Most home safes open non-destructively.
Is 24/7 emergency service extra?
A modest after-hours fee applies to service calls outside 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on weekends and holidays. The exact fee is disclosed on the phone during the initial quote before dispatch. There are no hidden 'minimum' charges on top of the flat rate.
Do you serve every city on the Treasure Coast?
Yes. We cover all 29 incorporated and unincorporated communities across St. Lucie, Martin, and Indian River counties.
That includes Port St. Lucie, Fort Pierce, Stuart, Vero Beach, Jensen Beach, Palm City, Hobe Sound, Sebastian, and 21 other towns.
Can I book service online?
You can request a quote online via our contact form, but for urgent work we recommend calling (772) 758-1322. The phone line is staffed 24/7 and most calls are dispatched within minutes. Online requests during business hours are answered within an hour.
What brands of locks do you install?
Schlage, Medeco, Mul-T-Lock, Kwikset, Baldwin, Yale, Emtek, Abus, Assa Abloy, Arrow, Corbin Russwin, Sargent, Von Duprin, LCN, Norton, Adams Rite, and Best Access Systems. We also service August, Level Lock, and most smart lock brands.
Do you provide service to property management companies?
Yes. We have standing service relationships with several Treasure Coast property management firms. Tenant turnover rekeys, after-hours emergency lockouts, and scheduled maintenance are standard.
Contact us to set up a master service agreement.
What is your warranty on lock installations?
We offer a written workmanship warranty on every installation and repair. The warranty covers our labor and the correct functioning of the hardware we install. Hardware itself carries the manufacturer warranty (typically 1-10 years depending on brand and product line).
Are you licensed to do fire door hardware?
Yes. We install UL-listed hardware on labeled fire doors in compliance with NFPA 80 and NFPA 101. We can annotate the work for your fire marshal or annual NFPA 80 inspection.
For formal inspection services we can refer a certified fire door inspector.
